Inbox Zero — private email assistant

This is a privately operated, self-hosted installation of Inbox Zero for the account owner's authorized mailboxes. It is separate from the commercial Inbox Zero hosted service.

What the application does

The application organizes Gmail and Google Workspace messages using owner-configured rules: categorization, labels, archiving, unsubscribe workflows and recoverable Trash. It can prepare drafts, group receipts for reimbursement, and group reminders about the same critical issue. Actions depend on the owner's settings and authorization.

Optional Google Calendar access lists connected calendars, reads events and availability, and supports scheduling and meeting features. Calendar permissions are requested separately from email access. Connecting a calendar does not authorize arbitrary invitations or changes.

Why Google access is requested

Google profile information identifies the connected account. Gmail access reads and organizes authorized mail and manages supported mailbox settings. Calendar access supports the optional calendar features. OAuth credentials allow the service to continue operating without asking the owner to sign in for every task.

Relevant message data may be processed by the configured AI provider. Self-hosting does not mean that AI processing necessarily stays on the application server. See the privacy notice for data handling, retention and revocation details.
